4.3.24 - Wednesday - Finished Paintings

Dear Art Lover,

Yesterday morning, I had the good fortune (weather) to be able to finish two paintings I’ve been working on over the last few weeks.  One is a view just before and after 8am, from the intersection of S King St and 31st Ave S, looking towards Rainier.  The I-90 bridge would be just below out of frame.  The atmosphere was bluebird.  I came to this spot several times when the weather didn’t quite match the initial day, but luckily I could venture over to the cherry blossoms on the UW quad, to work on another set of paintings from 9 to 10am.

I finished one of those pieces Saturday, and the other one this morning.  The blossoms are really falling now, and will be gone soon, the green of the buds already replacing the white and pale pink of the blossoms.  It felt good to finally be finished with this piece, with now only one cherry blossom painting in progress to complete.
