Years in the making - a celebration of pelicans. This piece reflects the multi-year process invested in its planning and execution, since first incepting the idea to make an entirely plein-air pelican portrait in large format in winter of 2023, multiple trips back to La Jolla Cove, countless sketches and preparatory works.
