Location: Philadelphia, PA

This sketch of the Schuylkill River with Boathouse Row rowers out practicing in the evening was made during a week in Philadelphia, staying with good friends of mine, both rowers themselves.  What drew me to the scene, other than the afternoon light, was the sweetness of the picnicking couple under the tree.  This stop in Phila was one of the last places I’d go on Art Tour 2024 before Event #2, Plein Air Easton, in Easton, MD.
