This plein air watercolor sketch (outside, from life) was one of the more successful of that day of painting the rowing crews from the motorboat chasing them.  The glare of the sun on the waters of the lakes of Seattle is one of my favorite subjects, I return to it again and again and never cease to be fascinated.
