Without the context of the other pieces created from the same model at around the same time, it is difficult to tell from what vantage and pose are we seeing the model Gloria.  I loved the challenge of drawing her from this viewpoint, bent forward, looking at her back and forward hands in prayer, her gaze looking to the viewer’s left.  The media combines charcoal and ink wash, a technique I was playing with at the time.
