This portrait is of the wonderful model Gloria, a fixture in fine art circles in Seattle.  I made this looking at Gloria through my laptop screen, during lockdown, as figure drawing in person was not available.  I was experimenting with using both graphite, a very mutable and subtle media, as well as sumi ink, an extremely permanent and challenging media.
