It is rewarding for me to challenge myself to work in plein air (outside, from life) watercolor on fairly unspectacular days, especially the frequent gray conditions of Seattle.  This is the view from my old apartment at 2400 South Hill in the Mt Baker neighbored, looking west to North Beacon Hill.  The air was thick with moisture, obscuring the hilltop, de-saturating it, while the morning dew was giving the nearby foliage a riotous rich and fertile green.
