Original Watercolor Painting, “Plein Air, Under I-90, Afternoon, 11.5.19”, watercolor, 18 x 24”, 2019

I made this painting on a whim one afternoon, the underside of I-90 lit up like a church.  Lake Washington was calm, but there was a building wind stirring up water from the far side of the lake coming my way.  I’ve always enjoyed the views from the underside of the concrete bridges and highways in Seattle.
