I showed up a bit late to this quick draw event, which began at 10am, to be run until 12 noon. I had also forgotten my water containers, but a pedestrian lent me their plastic cup, which worked fine. I painted quickly, having painted the exact same scene the day before (with double the time), and came up with at least a fairly accurate result. To my surprise and pleasure, it was awarded the Quick Draw Grand Prize - including an auto-invite for Plein Air Easton 2025. Awesome! I’m not sure without this how the rest of the year would have turned out. Since being awarded this at my first ever plein air event - I’ve only so far (for Art Tour 2024) been given awards for every single plein air event in which I’ve participated. This was the last painting of Plein Air Easton 2024, and I look forward to next year very much.
