This sketch is the first of two I made of two, then one dog on the streets of Bozeman, my second morning in town. I had this one complete day to paint work, a Thursday, before turning in work the next day, Friday. I had no specific plan other than to allow myself to sleep in, grab coffee downtown, and paint all afternoon. Drawing this friendly puppy and its bigger dog with permission from their owner put me in the perfect state of mind.
