When I draw or paint someone’s portrait, or I’ve worked with a model many times, usually some aspect of them will stand out to me, will be noticed, over and over again.  I found myself returning to Gloria’s hands, large, powerful, graceful.  This piece is an ink drawing on paper, 24 x 36”, over-life-size, a study of just one of the model Gloria’s hands.  This work is a bit atypical for me, but I enjoyed the effect.
