I don’t know that I necessarily planned to put the horizon line quite so low - I don’t typically use graphite or any other media to sketch beforehand - I just paint, right in.  This piece was fun to make, and the atmosphere felt more direct, more bright than Seattle usually does - more like California.  The small trees, tall light posts, grass and pedestrians add to that effect, I think.
