In the mid-ground there is a wagon, surrounded by parents, children, dogs, pelicans and gulls. The dark and light of the foregound water outflow intrigued me, and this view is almost from the same spot as the previous painting made this afternoon (three in total), “Plein Air, 11:40am-1:10pm, Moonstone Beach, 10.1.24”. I knew I had only a single afternoon to make work for this show, so it was fun to just stay in one location and paint all day.
