This is the second page of sketche of pelicans in La Jolla made during the same session.I love how pelicans look in flight, especially from behind as they soar on the wind, massive wings moving minimally. Their foldind and unfolding movements happen quickly, so the view at the bottom of this page probably only was seen for less than a second, over several repeat glimpses.
