As I continued to sketch the turkey vultures in ink, I saw the work (very gradually) improve over time. As this was from my first day of drawing them, the novelty of their aspect was very high for me. I couldn’t get enough. Drawing and painting animals from life is one of my favorite activities within art making. The ink is unforgiving and rewards fast, accurate observation and decisive marks.
